Meet the Team


Executive Director
Maureen Ashburn joined Emmanuel College’s McCafferty Career Center in 2014 as the Executive Director. In this role, Maureen leads the College’s efforts to further develop a robust career planning and internship program with a clear focus on student outcomes.
Maureen brings over 30 years of corporate and higher education experience to Emmanuel from Curry College, Boston University School of Management, Fidelity Investments and State Street Bank and Trust Company. She holds a BA in Management from Regis College and a MBA from Suffolk University.
Career Peer
Lilly is a senior majoring in International Studies with a minor in Art History. Over the past year at Emmanuel, she has worked as a Summer Program Assistant and a Desk Attendant. She now serves as the Vice President of the Art Club.
Lilly is excited to use her professional experiences to support students in the same way the Career Center has supported her.
Associate Director, Career Education
Meghan joined Emmanuel College in 2021 as the Career Education Coordinator and is an alumnae of the College. In this role, Meghan serves as a Career Advisor for several Career Communities and is responsible for coordinating career education initiatives within the Career Center.
Meghan returns to Emmanuel from Raytheon Technologies where she worked as the University Programs Recruiter and was responsible for hiring interns and recent college graduates. Meghan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Communication & Media Studies and Business Management from Emmanuel College.
Director of Career and Professional Development
Elizabeth joined the McCafferty Career Center in 2015 and currently serves as the Director of Career and Professional Development. In this role, Elizabeth leads the Career Education Team on career education initiatives including educating students on the life-long career development process.
Liz brings to Emmanuel over 20 years of experience in career counseling, higher education, and non-profit management. Liz earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Boston University.
Senior Associate Director, Employer Engagement
Chelsea Dunham joined the McCafferty Career Center in 2018 and currently serves as the Senior Associate Director of Employer Engagement. In this role, Chelsea leads the Employer Engagement team as they strengthen opportunities for Emmanuel students through employer partnerships.
Chelsea brings nearly 10 years of experience in higher education as well as retail, arts, and sales. In addition to her role in the McCafferty Career Center, Chelsea also served as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Emmanuel College for eight years. She graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Art History.
Associate Director, Career & Professional Development
Kristen joined the McCafferty Career Center in 2021 as the Assistant Director of Professional Development and Mentoring. Now as Associate Director, Kristen is the primary Career Advisor for several Career Communities and leads professional development and mentoring initiatives.
Kristen has nearly 10 years of experience in Higher education and community career engagement. Kristen holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Framingham State University and Master of Science degree in Organizational and Professional Communication from Regis College.
Career Peer
Emily is a senior majoring in Criminal Justice and Criminology with minors in Legal Studies and Political Science. She previously worked as an Admissions Ambassador and is currently the Secretary of the CCJ honors society. She is also involved as a member of the SaintsGivingBack club and the CCJ club.
Emily is most interested in helping students find different opportunities and supporting them through their time at college.
Associate Director, Career Development and Operations
Alison joined the McCafferty Career Center in 2025 as the Associate Director of Career Development and Operations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a concentration in Secondary Education. With over 10 years of professional experience, she began her career as a high school English teacher in South Carolina and Maryland, transitioning to higher education in 2019. Most recently, she served as Operations Manager with the career center for the graduate business school at Northeastern University, offering career development support and guidance for students in the MBA and MS programs.
In her role at Emmanuel College, Alison serves as the primary career advisor for the Business & Management and Education & Youth Services Career Communities, and she provides logistical and operational support for events and career programming.
