Industry Recruitment Series: Educational Programs & Schools

On Wednesday, February 21st, the McCafferty Career Center hosted its annual career fair for Educational Programs and Schools.

Students who attended the event were able to meet with employers via round table style conversations. Some employers who attended were Boston Public Schools, Lin Learning Center, Boston Plan for Excellence, and City Year, among others.

Some of the goals for the Industry Recruitment Series are to help create professional connections and emphasize and improve career readiness.

The Educational Programs & Schools event was successful in procuring these goals as 86% of students said they gained confidence in their ability to interact with people on a professional level. In addition to developing their skills, 72% of students said they were already contacted by recruiters that they met at the event.
