You can always find a Career Advisor in attendance or make an appointment to help with any preparation.

  • Update and print copies of your resume
  • Research companies and opportunities on our Event Calendar or check your email
  • Plan and practice a brief elevator pitch to use when meeting employers
  • Dress to impress!
  • Prepare notes or questions for employers
  • Prioritize the employers you want to visit first

  • Collect contact information from the employers you speak with
  • Introduce yourself, ask meaningful questions and show enthusiasm
  • Be prepared to answer any questions the employer may have
  • Take notes and key points for your own knowledge and to use in the follow up email

  • Can you tell me about any internship programs you have?
  • What skills and experiences do you look for in potential candidates?
  • What does the application and interview process look like?
  • What is the team dynamic or company culture like?
  • Are their mentorship or training programs available?

  • Send any follow-up thank-you emails within 24 hours
  • Send a LinkedIn request with a personalized message to connect to build your network and stay up to date on opportunities
