>> My name is Tomika Rodriguez. I'm the coordinator in the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs at DePaul University. My job is always different. So, primarily, Student Affairs is intended to serve students at an institution. And so, a large part of my job is directly serving students, maybe meeting with them one-on-one, pointing them to different resources on campus. So, I come in. I check all of my emails. I respond to them. Any given day, I might have individual meetings with students, either they schedule an appointment or they just walk in and I sit down and be with them and discuss any challenges they may be facing, any successes they may have and help direct them if they need assistance. I also might be working on planning events with the programs that I run including Women Empowered, the program for women of color, or the EXCEL Initiative. And so, it might involve reserving a room or doing advertising for an upcoming event or communicating with students via social media to get them engaged with the program. I'm really fortunate. We typically work 9 to 5, sometimes a little bit after 5. But being in a department like ours we really focus on having work-life balance. And so typically, we're out of here at 5, some evening responsibilities and some weekend responsibilities.
