Internship Opportunity with The Rehumanization Project

Hybrid | Unpaid | Flexible Schedule | Credit Eligible

About Us

The Rehumanization Project (TRP) is a Greater Boston-based nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring dignity, hope, and opportunity to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We focus on mobile outreach, wraparound services, non-emergency medical transportation, and systems-level advocacy. Rooted in compassion and collaboration, we aim to bridge systemic gaps by meeting people where they are, geographically, emotionally, and practically.

Internship Overview

We are seeking passionate, curious, and mission-driven student interns to support our work across multiple domains. Interns will work directly with our founder and collaborating organizations to gain real-world experience in social impact strategy, grassroots organizing, and nonprofit operations. Internships are tailored to the student’s interests, strengths, and learning goals.

Potential Focus Areas:

  • Outreach & Community Engagement: Support field-based outreach, build connections with community orgs, and co-create client-centered resources
  • Program Design & Evaluation: Help shape and assess pilot programs; assist with service mapping and impact tracking
  • Communications & Storytelling: Draft newsletters, blog posts, or social media content to raise awareness and mobilize support
  • Development & Fundraising: Assist with grant research, donor communications, and event planning
  • Research & Policy: Explore best practices in housing, healthcare access, and homeless services; summarize findings to inform advocacy
  • Operations & Admin: Improve internal systems, support volunteer coordination, and contribute to strategic planning

Commitment & Expectations

  • Minimum of 8–10 hours/week
  • Weekly check-ins and flexible project work
  • Hybrid format (some in-person opportunities in Boston area)
  • Collaborative, trauma-informed, and equity-centered environment
