Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated elementary school teacher to

join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality instruction, fostering a love of learning and knowledge, and integrating Catholic values into the curriculum. This position requires a dynamic educator who is skilled in classroom management, lesson planning, and differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, with a strong sense of rigor and high expectations for students.

Responsibilities

  • Teach all core academic subjects to second grade students including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies according to the Massachusetts and archdiocese standards
  • Integrate Catholic teachings and values throughout the curriculum
  • Prepare students for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation (Penance) and First Holy Communion, coordinating with the parish and supporting families through the sacramental preparation process
  • Foster a nurturing and structured classroom environment
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments
  • Collaborate with faculty and participate in school liturgies and faith-based activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (preferred)
  • Valid teaching credential or the ability to obtain one (preferred)
  • Practicing Catholic, with a commitment to Catholic education
  • Experience teaching at the elementary level is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Other information

  • FLSA exempt
  • 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM during the school year
  • This is a benefit-eligible position
