About the Company:

RECESS!! is an entertainment venue providing a surreal and interactive experience. Designed for all ages, RECESS!! is surreal, interactive, laugh-out-loud play.  Imagine Willy Wonka built an all-ages playground with multiple rooms and 20+ brand new, unique ways to have fun.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our team at as a Marketing Intern. The internship will provide valuable learning experiences for individuals interested in gaining practical knowledge in the experiential entertainment industry, as well as digital marketing, branding, and content creation. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to various marketing projects and campaigns.  There is scope for a longer term role if the applicant is interested and there is a fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute creative, sometimes guerilla marketing programs to drive guests to RECESS!! via multiple channels – the main show, events, etc.
  • Help create content for social media, email newsletters, and our website.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of promotional materials.
  • Attend team meetings and assist with brainstorming sessions.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, organizing events, and preparing reports.
  • Contribute to project tracking and data analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in entertainment marketing, digital marketing, social media, and branding.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Upbeat, can do work ethic.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
