This role is a hybrid role and is unpaid. However, this role is eligible for academic and course credit. 

Seeking interns that can intern a minimum of 8 hours a week.

Program/Department Overview:

JVS’s marketing department provides support across the agency. Under the JVS brand, we assist with program recruitment, publicity, and agency fundraising. JVS MassHire, a sub-brand of JVS, utilizes marketing for member recruitment, workshops, job fairs, recruitment outreach, and client acquisition. Our growing digital marketing channels include email campaigns, social media, and hyper-local web calendars.

Internship Responsibilities:

Work with JVS’ and MHDB (MassHire Downtown Boston) marketing department to assist with brand management on multiple online platforms, including social media. Collaborate with marketing team to develop messaging and outreach for new offerings. Monitor campaign outcomes and overall marketing metrics, which will influence future campaigns. In addition to the social media campaigns, interns will be assisting with a variety of Marketing /Graphic/Writing/Web Design/Creative projects that may include:

  • Updating and creating events on MassHire Calendar (website)
  • Creating weekly newsletters on Constant Contact
  • Marketing MassHire programs on websites, social media platforms, external websites
  • Writing ads and copy for posts
  • Aiding with the design of flyers and images for promotion on CANVA
  • Create short promo video as needed
  • Creating online forms
  • Editing and formatting documents when needed
  • Updating Databases when needed
  • Helping with event planning when needed
  • Assisting with routine department operations
