This role is a hybrid role and is unpaid. However, this role is eligible for academic and course credit.

Program/Department Overview:
The HealthCare Skills Training programs prepare adult students to work as Certified Nursing Assistants, Pharmacy Technicians, Central Sterile Processing Technicians, and Patient Care Technicians. JVS’ strong employer relationships help ensure students’ successful job placement after graduation.
Internship Responsibilities:
The Case Management intern is responsible for assisting clients with career guidance and enrollment to help remove barriers to employment and training.
- Assessing applicants for program eligibility with support from Program Assistants
- Monitoring and following up on program inquiries from potential applicants via texts, calls, and emails
- Assisting accepted students with funding application completion, with support from Program Manager
- Supporting active students with questions, next steps, and annotating progress, with the support of Career Navigators
- Assisting with remote information sessions on Zoom
- Assist students with completion and submission of Medical Paperwork required for employer partners, skills and clinical components
- Utilize existing tracking systems to enter, track, and monitor programmatic data
- Assisting in hybrid learning environments by shadowing Zoom classes, supporting instructors with attendance, and assisting students with troubleshooting
- Offer in person support for in-person training orientations at both the JVS main location and the Arlab location (Arlington Street building), as needed
Training will be provided
Skills/Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Zoom
- Attention to detail
- Reliable, flexible and eager to learn
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule, at least one day in the office a week.
- No previous experience is required as training will be provided
