Position Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Counselors to join our 2026 Camp Cody team! As a counselor, you will live in a cabin with campers and serve as a role model, mentor, and leader. You’ll guide campers through daily routines, ensure their well-being, and help create an unforgettable camp experience filled with teamwork, energy, and growth.
In addition to your cabin responsibilities, you’ll play a key role in our athletics program, helping campers develop skills, confidence, and a love for the game. We offer a wide range of field and court sports, including soccer, football, lacrosse, baseball, basketball, softball, and more. Whether you’re coaching fundamentals, organizing scrimmages, or encouraging first-time players, you’ll help create an environment where every camper feels challenged, supported, and inspired to give their best effort.
This position is ideal for anyone with a background in coaching, physical education, or athletics who wants to spend the summer outdoors, building leadership skills, and making a lasting impact through sport.
Job Responsibilities
- Live in a cabin with campers, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness throughout the summer.
- Serve as a mentor and positive role model, fostering independence, teamwork, and confidence in campers.
- Lead or assist in camp activities, ranging from sports and waterfront programs to creative arts and outdoor adventure.
- Support campers in daily routines, including meals, activities, evening programs, and rest periods.
- Create a supportive and inclusive cabin culture where every camper feels valued and included.
- Work collaboratively with fellow staff to maintain the high standards and traditions of Camp Cody.
Dates & Compensation
- Contract Dates: June 10th – August 15th, 2026
- Pre-Season Training: Select positions may begin earlier and include additional compensation.
- Compensation: Starting a $400 per week. Meals and housing are provided for the duration of employment.
