The McCafferty Career Center Hosts a Celebration of Collaboration

Last Wednesday, June 11th, the McCafferty Career Center hosted the Second Annual Employer Appreciation Reception. The Career Center Employer Engagement Team organized the event as a way to thank the numerous employers and organizations that have partnered with the Career Center this year. All employer partners were invited to attend, whether they hosted student interns, attended on-campus career events such as the Industry Recruitment Series, or recruited students for industry-based programs.

On Wednesday night, employer representatives from various organizations were invited to Emmanuel to celebrate their collaboration with the Career Center. Attendees were welcomed by Maureen Ashburn, the Executive Director of the McCafferty Career Center, heard remarks from Emmanuel College President Dr. Beth Ross, enjoyed light refreshments, and networked with fellow employers and Emmanuel College faculty and staff. All guests were also entered into a raffle, with winners receiving gift cards to local Fenway favorites such as MIDA and bartaco.

“We were thrilled to welcome 25 employer representatives on campus for the Second Annual Employer Appreciation Reception for an evening of food and conversation,” said Chelsea Rose-Dunham, Senior Associate Director of Employer Engagement. “Thank you, employer partners, for engaging with the McCafferty Career Center and the Emmanuel community this academic year.  Whether you attended a recruitment event, participated in a panel, or hosted an intern, we value your collaboration.” Organizations in attendance included Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD), Boston Public Schools, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, CohnReznick, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus, and more. In addition to these organizations, 13 representatives from various departments across Emmanuel College attended the reception as well.

The McCafferty Career Center looks forward to welcoming employers back to campus in the upcoming academic year. See the photos below for highlights from the Employer Appreciation Reception!
