Industry Recruitment Series: Community Organizations
On Tuesday, April 15th, the McCafferty Career Center hosted the final networking event in the Industry Recruitment Series: Community Organizations.
At all of the Industry Recruitment Series events, students and recruiters have the opportunity to network in a professional yet relaxed setting. During 10-minute round-table sessions, students learn about each organization, its application and hiring processes, as well as available job or internship opportunities. Employers consistently report that they enjoy this format of speed networking and appreciate the chance to meet and speak with multiple students in a short period of time.
This event hosted recruiters from a wide range of industries, including education, non-profit, science, and health, among others. The Career Center hosted 15 employers representing these sectors including The 3Point Foundation, Boston Children’s Hospital, Julie’s Family Learning Program, Eliot Community Human Services and The Institute for Protein Innovation.
Nearly every student reported that they have a better understanding of the hiring and application processes and plan to use the information they learned moving forward. Multiple employers who attended shared that they plan to recommend the Industry Recruitment Series to others in their network and that they are excited to return and engage with Emmanuel students next semester.
