On Tuesday, March 25, the McCafferty Career Center hosted the third networking event in the Industry Recruitment Series: Nursing.

At all of the Industry Recruitment Series events, students and recruiters are able network in a professional, yet laid back setting. During this time, students can learn about the company itself, application and hiring processes, as well as available job/internship opportunities. Employers repeatedly report that they love this form of speed networking and how great it is to meet with/interview several students at once.

Unlike the typical set-up of the Career Center events, employers at the Nursing event were tabled in the JYC right outside the Nursing Department. The Career Center hosted 10 different hospitals and healthcare organizations including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, DaVita Kidney Care and VA Boston Healthcare.

A total of 30 Nursing students attended the IRS: Nursing event, which was an all-time record for the Spring 2025 semester events. Almost every student reported they have a better understanding of the hiring and application processes and will be using the information they learned moving forward. Multiple employers said that all of the students came prepared and enjoyed interacting with them in this setting.
