Meet the Spring 2025 Recipients

Katie Crowley

Neuroscience & Developmental Psychology, Senior, Boston Child Study Center

Clinical Assistant

“I aspire to be a clinical neuropsychologist one day. This internship gives me experience working directly with patients, with families, and with clinicians. It also gives me experience learning about different disorders, and practicing different evidence-based treatment modalities.

This internship has been a wonderful experience. I have learned so much, and will continue to take away positive things from the experience. This internship stipend has allowed me to fully enjoy the social and professional benefits from my clinical assistantship at the Boston Child Study Center.”

Grace Flaherty

Writing, Editing & Publishing, Senior, MAXCourage

Development Intern

“This internship supports my career exploration and aligns with my future goals by providing hands-on experience in nonprofit development, education, and program coordination—areas that directly connect with my passions. I decided to major in Writing, Editing, and Publishing with a minor in Education to combine my love for writing with my dedication to education in a broader, impactful way.

This internship at MAXCourage perfectly aligns with both of these interests by allowing me to develop skills in storytelling and literacy while supporting a program that empowers students through social-emotional learning and personal narrative writing.

This stipend has greatly enhanced my internship experience by allowing me to fully dedicate myself to this invaluable opportunity. This internship is incredibly important to me, and being able to immerse myself in the day-to-day operations at MAXCourage, rather than working remotely, is an experience I truly value. The stipend has allowed me to stay fully engaged with my responsibilities.”

Mason Fuller

Political Science, Junior, Simmons University

DEI + Multicultural Center Assistant

“I am passionate in achieving equality and fairness and I hope that this experience will give me a real-world view on how these goals are achieved in a career.

Although I was seeking a paid internship experience, I was very excited for the opportunity to intern in DEI and chose to participate in the program even though it is unpaid. The stipend has been helpful in providing financial support.”

Michaela Mailea

Biotechnology, Senior, CVS Health

Pharmacy Technician Internship

“I am hoping to begin a pharmacy-oriented career track after graduating from Emmanuel College. This internship will count towards the 500 minimum hours requirement. Additionally, since I have gained exposure working with physicians and insurance companies, I have increased my knowledge and comfortability in those areas that will open up other job opportunities for me.

This stipend has impacted my internship experience as I have been able to focus solely on getting the most knowledge and experience possible and I feel I have been able to retain more information because of it.”

Yaco Pastor

Political Science, Senior, WatchCDC

Job Clinic + Community Organizing Intern

“Working for a non-profit has provided me with experience in the public policy field. Furthermore, it has been a great way to outreach communities more affected by poverty.

The stipend has allowed me to travel to the office in person.”
