Industry Recuitment Series: Business and Management

On Tuesday, September 17th the McCafferty Career Center hosted our first Industry Recruitment Series of the semester: Business & Management!

Differing from your typical career fair set up– a lot of long tables stacked on top of eachother, quick meet & greets– our events are organized as rotating round table conversations. Students who attend our Industry Recruitment Series are able to meet 1-on-1 or in small groups with recruiters from companies within their career paths. The speed-networking environment allows for professional, yet laid-back conversations about the companies themselves and their application & hiring proccesses.

At this years Business & Management event, we hosted 13 different employers including top firms like CBIZ & CohnReznick, and well-known companies like Bose & NESN, among others!

Our first event of the semester was a huge success, as we had 60 students in attendance. All in attendance said they felt prepared for our event, and almost 90% reported they plan to reach out to the recruiters they met with if they had not already. Employers repeatedly report that they love the format and organization of the industry specific events. Every employer said they planned to follow up with students they met with. One reported that “students are wonderful and ready to contribute to community building.”
